About the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau

From September 13 to 15, 2019 dive into the 6th edition!

The Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau is now 1,2 or 3 complete days of kayak around the island of Montreal AND simultaneously, on the last day,  a super accessible 8 km course in the boat of your choice: a kayak, a canoe, or even ... a paddle board in the islands of Boucherville.

A most festive day and a great arrival!
On Sunday afternoon, the participants of the new course will have completed their challenge and will be ready for the grand arrival of the participants of the Classic course. A big ceremony will be organized to reveal the amount raised for our children!

This activity is great for teambuilding. Have fun and mobilize your team around a cause of the utmost importance in Quebec.
Participate as a team! Whether on the Classic course or the Newbie, the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau is the perfect event to challenge your colleagues to try something new! Do it for the children you will meet and together make a real difference in their lives!
Now that there is something for everyone, there is no reason not to sign up!

Psst! If you wish, you can take part in the first 2 days with the Classic course and migrate on the third day to the new 8 km course with colleagues and friends!

Level 1 sea kayak training will be offered free of charge for any participation in the Classic course.*
This training is mandatory to take part in this course. In addition, a preparatory outing will be offered for participants who wish to go through the more technical segments of days 2, 3. These requirements are put in place to enhance your experience for maximum pleasure and safety!

* Level 1 sea kayak training is offered for non-certified participants.

An event that brings hope

In 2018, we were able to raise over $ 300,000 with the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau. It is a record sum that allows the Fondation Charles-Bruneau to achieve its mission which is to give all children with cancer the best chances of recovery by financing research and supporting the development of projects in the area of pediatric hematology and oncology.

Efforts that count

By participating in the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau, you can contribute directly towards offering a healthy future to the 2,000 Quebec children with cancer. Rest assured that your efforts make an enormous difference: since 1980, the rate of recovery for the most common type of pediatric cancer has increased from 35% to more than 80 %. These promising advances serve to guide researchers towards two objectives: curing the 20% of children whose cancer is resistant to treatment, and improving the quality of life of children in remission by giving them access to a true cure, with no after-effects or complications — a reality too seldom seen, unfortunately.
