To show our appreciation and gratitude, we would like to introduce you to the teams and organizations that successfully raised $10,000 or more during the 7th edition of Circuit bleu.
Thank you to Pelican, Cascades, CEP Forensique, Hamfit and JUMANA for your enthusiasm and your commitment to mobilize your employees for the cause of children diagnosed with cancer. You are all actors of change!

Team Pelican

Captain: Danick Lavoie, President and Chief Executive officer
Participants: 28 kayakers
Goal: $18,450
Results: $55,776
" Kayaking is what we "do" every day in Quebec. Taking part in challenges is in the DNA of our organization! Contributing, as best we can, to this cause that is extremely important to all of us, while paddling a kayak, is a privilege! Thanks to the many initiatives put in place and the commitment of our community, Pelican is proud to announce an additional corporate contribution of $22,500 on top of the donations raised by the members of our team for the 2020 Circuit bleu. "

Team Cascades
Captain: Mélanie Veillette, Sales Controller at Cascades
Participants: 17 kayakers
Goal: $12,900
Results: $38,031
"For the past 13 years, we have been collaborating with the Fondation Charles-Bruneau and we are proud to help improve the lives of thousands of children diagnosed with cancer in Quebec. Today more than ever, it is more important for Cascades to ensure the safety and well-being of its employees, but also to support its customers, partners and the local communities. The mission of the Charles Bruneau Foundation is perfectly in line with our values and we hope that this partnership will continue for many years to come. We will continue to raise awareness among our team members about this important cause."

Captain: Jonathan Hamel, owner of the HAMFIT Training Centre
Participants: 2 kayakers
Goal: $800
Results: $13,000
"During the pandemic, pediatric cancer does not take a pause and HAMFIT is proud to be active for children. It is a privilege to participate in such a fun charity event like the Circuit Bleu. As a father of a healthy young child, I cannot imagine that the words " Kid " and " Cancer " can coexist in the same sentence. Because we should always give, without expecting to receive in return, the HAMFIT community promises to support the Fondation and to commit itself to help raise important funds for these children."

Team CEP Forensique
Captain: Hugo Julien, forensic engineer, pressure equipment and boiler
Number of participants: 8 kayakers
Goal: $6,000
Results: $12,000
" At CEP Forensique, we truly believe in the role a corporate entity should play in its community. As a result, we have been committed to support several charitable organizations for the past 40 years. Every year, CEP Forensique devotes thousands of dollars to fund the activities of numerous non-profit organizations because we are committed to supporting causes that give back to Quebec society. In addition, our team members do not hesitate to support a variety of projects that promote social involvement, such as the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau. "

Team Captain: Martine Jodoin, President and owner of JUMANA BOARDS
Participants: 6 paddle boarders (SUP)
Goal: $10,400
Results: $11,272
"Our hope is to help the Fondation Charles-Bruneau with its mission to support research projects that will lead to a cure for all children living with cancer in Quebec. We all know, from near or far, someone afflicted by this terrible disease, so why not work together to accomplish great things? Since the key is to be well surrounded, we have gathered a team of six extraordinary and energetic women who have a common goal to fight pediatric cancer. We are making a small difference in this world one paddle stroke at a time. So join us in our efforts. Together, we can make it happen."
